2017 Auckland Rifle Association Championship
Auckland Championship was held over the weekend of the 9th and 10th December at the Clevedon Range.
Day 1, Saturday was shot at 500 and double 600 yards in fine, sunny, hot conditions. Following the Individual shooting the Teams match was shot with Te Puke winning the Waihi Rooster and Clevedon's two teams 2nd and 3rd.
Day 2, Sunday was shot at 1000 yards, 2 x 15 shot matches as the farmer has the paddock in hay and we did not want to drive over it to get to the 900 yard mound. The weather was again hot, overcast with light winds, a shower court out a couple of unfortunate shooters during 5 minutes of rain.
A barbecue after shooting both days was enjoyed by all.
