2019 NZ F Class Team in Australia
The first teams match of the Trans Tasman F Class was held today, Monday 17th June, on the Belmont range Brisbane.
The match was 20 shots at 1000 yards for 6 shooters coached. The match conditions were changed to have all six shooting members of the team shooting instead of the original five. It saved us having to leave someone out and all team members got to shoot.
Our team has two F Open shooters, Ian Hughes from Cheltenham and Mike Chui from Ashburton, and four FTR, Steve Moffatt from Clevedon, Graham Piper, Hamilton Whatawhata, Paul Neilson Gisborne, and Murray Cook Ashburton. Malcolm Dodson, Kaituna was in the coaching chair.
The Australians accepted our mixed team and put up four FTR and two F Open against us with Greg Warrian in the chair.
The wind was square from the right ranging from one to five minutes.
The Australians ran out the winners today by the narrow margin of seven points.
Tomorrow we shoot fifteen shots at 800, 900, and 1000 again with six shooters. The day is another match and then there is the two day aggregate for the overall trophy.
