What a day, high cloud very light winds. Perfect conditions for shooting the long ranges, although it started to flick about when shooting commenced at 1,000. Just enough wind to be a nuisance and to cause problems if you weren’t watching the mirage & flags properly.
Shooter numbers were however a disappointment. Not helped by a busy weekend at Marlborough the weekend before and the final of the World Cup Rugby Champs earlier that morning.
This did not stop those keen and eager to get some long range shooting under the belt from having some fun on the range.
