RIP - George Knuckey

George Knuckey passed away in November 2022. Unfortunately, the Club was not made aware of this at the time.

George devoted a lifetime to shooting starting sometime in the early 1950’s in New Plymouth , George came to Auckland and joined the Auckland City Rifle Club then picked up the role of club secretary and continued this for decades before the amalgamation with Akarana Rifle club in 1997.  he was awarded a life member of the Club in 1999 and years later received the NRANZ Distinguished service medal in recognition of this long and dedicated service. George also took care of most of the ongoing admin and was the Treasurer/Secretary for many years.

George was well known throughout the sport.
