RIP - Bryan Bull (Bully)
On the 5 September Bryan Bull (Bully) passed away after a year long battle at the age of 87.
He was a member of the Levin, Petone and Cheltenham Rifle Clubs, starting in the 70’s shooting TR and in later years with F Open. He enjoyed the sport and people involved, travelling around the North Island competing in Regional Championships. He also enjoyed shooting in Brisbane in August and travelling to the Gemfields shoot afterwards.
Bryan loved a Bacardi and coke after shooting and going to the Levin Cossie Club for a meal and a game of pool. Always willing to help anyway he could for the sport and his club He also loved cars and was always on the look out for a newer model or faster car.
Bryan was a great travelling companion, we travelled to shoots that are no longer held, Boxing Day at Wanganui, Southern Hawkes Bay in Waipukurau, Ashurst Range and Levin his home range, he was gutted when it was lost. He was Father Christmas for many years and looked forward to giving out gifts to the kids and bring some Christmas fun and joy.
I travelled with Bryan a lot over the years, always had a bed for the night and a lot of laughs, now he has moved on and the sport has lost another great character.
Rest in Peace my Friend
