RIP - Bob Pearce

It is with sadness I report the passing of Bob Pearce at the age of 77 years.

Bob passed peacefully on Wednesday 13 September 2023.

There will be a private cremation and when the family is ready a 'remember Bob' get together.

Bob was an ardent supporter of the Petone Rifle Club. Bob started shooting Full-Bore in the late 70s. He quickly fought his way into the Petone number 1 team helping to win the NRA Saturday morning club teams match in 1981 then again in 1996.

Petone club, with Bob, won the Hawkes Bay Champion Shield in 2003. Bob contributed an exceptionally good 105.13.

Bob has various regional champs to his name as well as a 1992 NZ Champ of Champs title. 

Bob was awarded Petone Club Life Member in 2010. He was Club President 1992 till 1994 then again in 2002/03. Bob was Petone Club's Champion 5 times between 1997 and 2004. 

In early 2000 Bob started work as a Wednesday Crew range volunteer and continued through to 2015. Bob retired from the Wednesday Crew not long after due to illness. Rest in peace Bob. PRC.
