Call for Nominations - 2023 NZ F-Class Team
F Class World Championships
South Africa, March / April 2023
NRANZ are calling for nominations for team members of a New Zealand F Class Rifle Team to attend the ICFRA F Class World Championships at Bloemfontein in South Africa in March/April 2023.
To shoot at these Championships you must be shooting either F Open or FTR.
FTR-Classic and F-PR are not recognised ICFRA classes at these Championships.
The Championships comprise individual and team shooting.
The shooting programme will run for two weeks and incorporates the South African National Championships as well as the ICFRA World Championships.
Team members are self-funded.
With the state of air travel currently, an accurate costing is difficult.
An all-up budget of $15000 would be sensible.
There will be a payment schedule into a team account.
The first payment will be of $1000 by 30 June 2022.
The team Captain is Ian Hughes from Cheltenham Rifle Club.
The team, once selected, will have training and practice weekends.
The team can have up to 15 members.
All team members will be required to sign an NRANZ Athletes Agreement upon selection.
The team will not proceed unless adequate and suitable travel insurance can be arranged.
It is a self-nomination process.
Include your name, club, shooting class (F Open or FTR) and a brief CV of your shooting experience and achievements.
If you are F-Open please include the cartridge that you are shooting.
The desire to improve and be part of a team are as important as past achievement.
Send your nomination to the secretary@nranz.org.nz and the convenor of selectors darryl@dcpower.co.nz
Nominations close on 4 March 2022.
The team will be announced at the Hamilton F Class Championships and the Nelson Championships on 27 March 2022 and then posted on the NRANZ website.
